Founder and Chief Medical Officer
Jordan Wright, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician dedicated to serving families in the Denver metro area. He has spent over a decade caring for children of all ages, with clinical experience in a variety of care settings. Dr. Wright started Horse and Buggy Pediatrics with the vision of delivering accessible, thoughtful, and outstanding healthcare, carefully customized to suit the individual needs of each and every child. He believes the cornerstone of providing such high-quality service lies in establishing genuine relationships with his patients, partnering with parents to meet them where they are on their child's journey, and offering the necessary expertise and guidance along the way. It is both an honor and a privilege to which he is deeply committed. Dr. Wright's humble and unique approach ensures that every child receives the dedicated care they deserve, giving parents peace of mind through immediate and direct access to a primary care pediatrician. Dr. Wright is a Colorado native who grew up in Littleton, CO. He received a BS degree in Biological Science with a minor in Biomedical Sciences from Colorado State University. He subsequently attended medical school at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, earning his Medical Doctorate in 2010. He then completed his pediatric residency training at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago through Northwestern University in 2013. Afterward, Dr. Wright was honored to be elected Chief Resident for the program, where he remained for an additional year, dedicated to the education and training of resident physicians, before moving back home to Denver, Colorado.
Before starting Horse and Buggy Pediatrics, Dr. Wright practiced Emergency/Urgent Care medicine at the Children’s Hospital Colorado and its surrounding networks for nearly 3 years before joining Kaiser Permanente as a primary care pediatrician in 2016. There he spent more than 7 years in primary pediatric practice, also serving as the Medical Office Director of both Pediatric and Primary Care at their Arapahoe medical office location. He is board-certified in Pediatrics, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) at both the state and national levels, and has been repeatedly recognized as one of Colorado's 5280 Magazine Top Doctors in Pediatrics. He has remained committed to education and has served as an Associate Professor and clinical preceptor for medical students through the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Dr. Wright enjoys reading (and writing as a children's book author), DIY projects, gardening, and spending time outdoors with his family. As both a parent (including the father of a NICU graduate) and pediatrician, Dr. Wright recognizes the value of having child-centered medical expertise on hand at home. It is this same sense of reassurance and support he is dedicated to providing his patients and their parents each and every day.
